The Institute of Psychology mourns Dr. Reiner Stegie
The Institute of Psychology mourns the loss of its long-time colleague Dr. Reiner Stegie (1941–2025). Dr. Stegie was a member of the institute from 1979 until his retirement in 2006. His work spanned research, teaching, and patient care. Notably, he was instrumental in establishing rehabilitation psychology in Freiburg. He also played a leading role in documenting the institute’s history from its beginnings to the present and continued to support the institute after his retirement. With Dr. Stegie, the institute loses an outstanding researcher and a deeply committed colleague. Our sympathy goes out to his family. [04.06.2025]
