Approach to Diagnosis and Psychotherapy

Each treatment is preceded by a careful examination and diagnosis by which the most appropriate therapeutic service is determined. After an initial therapy session to clarify the treatment concern, a detailed diagnosis will be attained through interview and questionnaire methods. Following consultation, further diagnostic measures may be implemented (i.e. stress reactivity testing, including the measure of cardiovascular reactivity and stress hormone assessment). Finally, a specific treatment plan can be derived.

The psychotherapeutic treatment is focused in cognitive-behavioral therapy and geared towards both the symptoms of the disorder as well as the environmental triggers which sustain the condition.
